Wales' Robert Bush gives his Pantera a thumbs up

With the gentle mists of Wales as a backdrop, Robert Bush writes, "Smooth, stable, predictable, quick enough, and auto's great. All the money I've wasted on expensive models that turned out to be disappointing in one way, or another, and a Pantera turns out to be just about what I've been looking for all along . . . and not even fantastic for the money, just fantastic!!"

Thomas Burgess grin says it all about his Pantera 50, eh?

"The grin says it all", explains Thomas Burgess of Saint Petersburg, FL when he sent this photo of himself kneeling by his Pantera 50 and then goes on to say, "What a great flying helicopter!"

Nakia James' Pantera fits perfectly inside the Funkey Hughes 500 fuselage.

Nakia James chose the Funkey-brand Hughes 500 fuselage to transform his Pantera 50 because, as he explains, "The mechanics are so versatile I can upgrade the engine later to a big block OS70 for a better power-to-weight ratio.  Also, I like the fact there's a place to mount a needle-valve control servo molded right into the side frame because it makes adjusting the fuel mixture in the air easy."  She looks sweet Nakia, good job!

Maurice blier, Chief Engineer aboard the private motor yatch Northern Lights proudly holds his Tiger 50

When he's off duty as Chief Engineer aboard the private motor yatch Northern Light (inset), Maurice Blier flies his Tiger 50.  "I selected her because I appreciate fine quality machinery." he explains, and goes on to say, "My Tiger 50 is quite the world traveler too.  I've had her in many parts of the world like Capri, Positano, and Sarento in the Mediteranean as well as all over the Carribean."  He also says, "I fly her all the time because she's fun, draws attention, and is both smooth and easy to handle."   We couldn't say it any better Maurice!

Wearing his trademark grin, Tuscon's Billy Hemple loves his Pantera 50 so much he became a field rep for us!

It's perhaps important to know . . . we don't have paid pilots. So, for example, when Billy Hemple of Tucson, AZ (best known for his giant scale activities) says, "Believe it or not, I fly model helicopters to keep sharp with the big birds!" you're getting it from a guy who bought his model just like everybody else, and when he continues with, "I prefer the Pantera P50 because it's precise in the air. It's more like one of my competition airplane actually, and unlike some I've flown, it doesn't zoom or tuck in high speed flight because it just tracks true." you can take it to the bank. Billy then goes on to explain, "My family owns the Hobby Barn so I can fly any model on the market, but I picked it because I didn't want to hassle with a carbon fiber heli. To be blunt, I don't have time for constant wrenching so for me, the rugged engineering-plastic construction made it something of a no brainer." He continues, "After looking over the field, and flying everything available, it stood head and shoulders above the rest because of its very simple design and honest flying characteristics." and this means you're getting the no-bull assessment of a real pro.

Thomas Spence at Spratt's Trading Post with his Pantera 50

Standing behind the counter at Spratt's Trading Post, Thomas Spence of Hillsdale, MI poses with his Pantera 50.  An enthusiastic modeler, Thomas has even made some custom aluminum parts for his Pantera to include a great looking hex-design head button for the optional PDR0045 aluminum rotor head block.  Presently, he's trying to figure out how to stuff either a .91 four-stroke, or a gas burner engine into his Pantera . . . and knowing him, he'll succeed too because he doesn't know the meaning of the word quit!

Bill Massy flies both a stock Pantera and a BBC equipped grin machine!

Whether it's scuba diving, piloting his CAP 10L acrobatic aircraft, or thrashing the sky with a Pantera at his local flying field, Bill Massy holds nothing back. An engineer by vocation, and a tinkerer by nature, Bill's a go-to guy. In fact, his Pantera with the BBC (foreground) is one of (if not the very first) in a handful of BBC prototypes to escape captivity before production!

Kneeling by his Pantera 50, Nick Crego poses with pride

Kneeling behind his Pantera 50 with a full tank of fuel in preparation of another flight, Nick Crego of Ankeny, IA poses with quiet pride as behind him, a John Deere harvester at work in the business of feeding the nation, goes at it.  What a beautiful flying site!  Pleased with his model, Nick posted this online, "Went out today to fly the Pantera, first time with the governor on, and the stock paddles. Wow! Maybe I'm a wimp, but it's too fast on cyclics. It'll roll and flip a couple of times a second, and loops can be so tight that they are within the heli's length. I was seriously bogging it down because I'm not used to the responsiveness, so my timings are behind. Compared to any other heli I've flown, Evos, Raptors, Furys, Predators, all tuned to be as fast as I could get them, this is faster. The Fury is close with the MA whites, but still not as fast."
